Awards from the Professional Photographers of Washington!

Bob Gassen of Humanature Photography in Kirkland was awarded his Fellow of Photography Degree by the Professional Photographers of Washington (PPW) at their recent annual conference in Everett.  This degree requires 50 merits earned over a period of years, including a minimum of 25 merits during print and album competitions, and a minimum of 15 merits attending photography classes, conferences, and service to the organization.   Bob equates this to a Masters Degree earned at a university, and required 8 years to earn.  He earned his Associate Fellow of Photography Degree five years ago, and is a Certified Professional Photographer of the Professional Photographers of America.

Bob was also honored as the Volunteer of the Year award by PPW for outstanding service over a period of years.  He was the Awards and Recording Chair at the PPW annual conference for the past 5 years, responsible for working with the competition judges and other PPW volunteers to select up to 50 awards and trophies each year.

Humanature Photography is located at 730 Market Street in Kirkland.  Bob's passion is photographing people at all stages of their life.  His work covers the entire circle of life, from artistic and beautiful pregnancy images, to babies and children, families, high school senior portraits, business professionals along with weddings, parties and events.  Bob is very active in the Kirkland community, with memberships in the Kirkland Chamber, Kirkland Downtown Association, and Kirkland Rotary.   He has been the official photographer of the Kirkland Concours d’Elegance since its inception in 2003.  His studio supports local non-profit and charitable organizations with auction donations as well as providing photography services when required.
